ECO GENERATOR

Faro airport continues to innovate for a more sustainable future, with the implementation of an Eco Generator, a large power bank with solar panels and aerogenerators, which moves for occasional power supply in areas without electrification.

This solution, fully developed by ANA employees, arose from the need to find a sustainable alternative to the use of diesel generators and was built from reused materials.

This equipment thus combines the circular economy with renewable energy sources - solar and wind - and the capture of rainwater and atmospheric humidity.

In addition to its main function, it thus becomes an instrument to raise awareness about production, storage and management of electricity and water.

ANA| VINCI Airports thus pursues the objectives of reducing energy consumption, increasing efficiency, and promoting the transition to renewable sources.
