ETHIAD CONNECTS LISBON TO ABU DHABI
Lisbon Airport received, on June 18, the first flight of Etihad's new direct connection with Abu Dhabi.
The celebration of this first flight was attended by the Ambassador of Portugal in the United Arab Emirates, the Vice-President of Network Planning of Etihad, the director of Lisbon Airport and the Head of Route Development of the Commercial Aviation Department.
This new route, to an international hub, increases the connectivity of the Humberto Delgado airport, to destinations such as Thailand and the Maldives, also encouraging the discovery of Portugal by more tourists from other countries.
Etihad Airways, one of the world's most awarded airlines for service quality, will operate this connection on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Sundays, in a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, probably until October.
