  • 24 new routes in the 2026/27 winter schedule: 10 new connections and 14 extensions of summer operations
  • New services to Gdansk, Poznan, Sal, Catania, Hamburg, Milan, Clermont-Ferrand, Granada and Brussels
  • More than 100 direct destinations connect Porto to the world

Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport begins the IATA 2026/27 winter season with a significant boost to its connectivity.

The new winter schedule includes 24 routes that were not part of the previous winter’s offer: 10 new connections joining the operation this season and 14 summer routes extended into the winter. This increase helps reduce seasonality and broadens travel options for leisure passengers, those visiting friends and relatives, and business travellers.

Highlights among the new connections in the 2026/27 winter schedule include:

  • Catania, Gdansk, Hamburg and Poznan with Ryanair
  • Sal with TAP Air Portugal
  • Brussels with Transavia
  • Clermont-Ferrand and Granada with Volotea
  • Catania and Milan (Malpensa) with Wizz Air

The winter schedule also strengthens medium- and long-haul connectivity. Services to New York (JFK), Boston, Tel Aviv, Praia and São Vicente are extended into the winter, expanding Porto’s international offer to North America, the Middle East and Cabo Verde.

The 14 extensions of summer operations cover:

  • New York (JFK) with Delta Air Lines
  • São Vicente, Berlin and Glasgow with easyJet
  • Tel Aviv with EL AL
  • Berlin with Eurowings
  • Warsaw with LOT Polish Airlines
  • Liverpool, Nuremberg and Rabat with Ryanair
  • Boston and Praia with TAP Air Portugal
  • Brive-la-Gaillarde and Asturias with Volotea

Thierry Ligonnière, CEO of ANA Aeroportos de Portugal, said: “The 2026/27 winter schedule confirms Porto’s growing year-round appeal. Extending 14 summer routes into the winter, alongside the new routes launching this season, reduces seasonality, strengthens connectivity for the North of Portugal and expands options for passengers and businesses. This growth is the result of the consistent work of the ANA | VINCI Airports teams, in close collaboration with airlines and regional partners, and of the continued confidence the market places in Porto.”

UPGRADE – Investing in comfort and in operational and environmental performance

To keep pace with sustained traffic growth and ensure high operational standards, ANA continues a robust investment programme in infrastructure and technology across all the airports it manages.

At Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport, following the completion of the €50 million runway modernisation, investment continues in the terminal to increase capacity, improve process flow and enhance the passenger experience, including work on the check-in, security, Fast Track and Lounge areas.

ANA – Aeroportos de Portugal, the company responsible for managing 10 airports in Portugal, became part of the VINCI Airports network in September 2013. It manages airports on the mainland (Lisbon, Porto, Faro and Beja), in the Azores (Ponta Delgada, Horta, Flores and Santa Maria) and in Madeira (Madeira and Porto Santo).
