SOLAR TREE

The Solar Tree is an innovative and sustainable charging point for mobile phones, laptops, tablets, among others. It is composed of reused materials from contractors and preventive maintenance (batteries, tubes, and metal plates from Baggage Handling System equipment, among others). The "leaves" at the top support panels which follow the orientation of the sun, optimizing energy production by 20%.
This is another environmental initiative, recently implemented at Faro Airport, which also provides solar energy for charging equipment, Wi-Fi, and decorative lighting at night.
