WATER FROM THE AIR

The WATER FROM THE AIR initiative, within the scope of Eco Innovation at Faro airport, consists in the collection of water and its storage in tanks, resulting from the cooling of air conditioning equipment of 6 telescopic bridges. This water is reused in cleaning and washing processes (aircraft, telescopic bridges, and surrounding areas), in the maintenance of batteries of electric vehicles and in the filling of tanks of firefighting vehicles. This solution, developed in partnership with VINCI Facilities, contributed to the reduction of water and carbon footprints and waste production.
